Back in 2016 as a team of young professionals, with tremendous experience in the field of Education, we gathered together for the first time to brainstorm on the smartphone epidemic in schools.
The Minster appealed to teachers to limit the use of smartphones in the classroom with the greatest invention of modern mankind - a wooden box with compartment for 20+ phones. We thought that:
And so we created Pokit for Education in a direct opposition to the meaningless (functionless) wooden boxes.
The smartphone addiction is very well know. Teachers all around the world find it challenging to deal with all these devices and lack of attention & focus during class. That's why Pokit is designed in a way that makes you leave your device for a bit while waiting for it to charge.
Build to be convenient - Pokit can store up to 30 smartphones without taking any extra space on the teacher's desk.
Don't worry. Leave your device in Pokit for the class and you'll make both your self and your teacher happy :)
Pokit's build in charger is compatible with any device. All you need is a USB cable.
Pokit can charge up to 10 devices at a time. It's compatible with all standards and it requires one power plug nearby.
Pokit helps with one of today's alpha generation and students biggest problem - their constant need to be charged and connected.
Together with charging - Pokit allows students to disconnect from the Internet and connect in real life while waiting.
The owner of the trademark is Black sea solutions, a Bulgarian start-up that was founded in late 2017. Although we started prototyping and manufacturing Pokit as a joke - we took the smartphone epidemic seriously and decided to take further action. We applied and were successfully approved for funding by the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy. The full amount of the funding was invested in the development of Pokit and the first production of 100 units.
